I love to perform my favourite folk, rock, pop, country and blues songs on the guitar. Where I see opportunities, I try to put my own personal stamp on songs with original adaptations: a rhythmical tweak, a little riff, a different chord progression.

I have composed original songs whenever the inspiration has hit me. You'll find many of my originals and adaptations here on my YouTube channel. Since 2025 I have been performing my original compositions at the monthly Les Chansonniers de la Côte singer-songwriter sessions in Gland.

I perform frequently with my trusty deputy, Adrien Karlen, on percussion and whistles. Our "John & Adrien Show" has a strict open stage policy! We always have a spare guitar jacked in and singers and musicians of all levels are welcome to join us at the microphone for a song or tune of any genre.
