I love working with other musicians to add colour and ornamentation to their songs. Whether it's banjo, mandolin, bodhrán, bouzouki, acoustic or electric guitar, I enjoy the challenge of complementing the singer's work with decorative riffs, chords and solos. I like contributing vocal harmonies too.

Since 2019 I have served as a sideman for the Irish folk duo, Rua. I also added banjo, bodhrán and backing vocals on the outlaw ballad album The Vengeful Cousins, released on Bandcamp in 2023.

My latest "labour of love" involves recording some pop and country songs with my wife, Jess - she on and vocals and guitar; me on guitar and vocals. Through playing with her, I have gained a particular appreciation for the songwriting and musicianship of Taylor Swift.
